I’m 14 and I get really bad anxiety attacks. I get atleast 2 everyday and sometimes their so bad I almost pass out. I tell my parents but they dont really do anything they tell me to just breathe (yeah thanks i never thought of that!) Why am I doing this so bad? I used to get the alot when I was like 8. What can I do to get them under a control. I usually try and get ice water whenever I have one. I’ve had 3 today. Is this normal? What can I do to stop?

I’m having one right now…..

You probably have a disorder if you’re having them this badly. Ask your parents to take you to a doctor. I went to mine and found out I have General Anxiety Disorder. I get terrible attacks too. He gave me Lexapro and Xanax and its helped.
If they wont take you, try Traditional Medicinals Easy Now tea. Its about $5 a box and my grocery store here carries it, if you cant find it try natural/organic stores. It really does ease stress a lot. My boss used to have bad attacks, he asys he used to run when he felt one coming. You really need to go to a doctor though, so he can diagnose you to see if medicine would help. Insurance pays for the large majority of medications for this kind of thing (the Lexapro does cost me $40 a month, but the Xanax only costs $4)

Anxiety deals with a type of fear. So you need to find what you fear. thats what causes your attacks. and relax.

I think you should try talking to your parents again and explain to them how bad you are feeling . Anxiety or panic attacks can lead to serious real health problems if you get to excited. Let them know that this is really disturbing to you and you need some help to stop this. Don’t feel alone, There are a lot of people who suffer from anxiety I used to have panic attacks quite frequently when I was younger and they got better as I learned to control them and relax. Mostly it’s due to having things on your mind too much or being afraid or it could even be more serious than just nerves. Some people have to take medication on a regular basis to help fight the anxiety. When you feel one coming on try to relax and do take deep slow breaths in through the nose out through the mouth. If it gets really bad and you are not allergic try taking benadryl just one and it will help you to relax through it. But this is not a cure just a quick fix for the moment you really need to see a Dr. and try to find out why at your age you are having this problem. Try talking to a good friend that you trust when you feel anxious this will help as well. Good Luck

No, this is not normal at all. anxitey attacks every once in a while will happen when something big is about to happen or your going through a huge change, its pretty much your body preparing itself for something. I would really get to a doctor and get one some type of medication. I used to have really bad attacks, and i was put on lexipro and it has helped a lot. I do still have them sometimes when i get on a plane or something big is happening out of the oridnary. of course breathing is a big helper when having an attack.. just relaxe your body and just consintrate on one thing and take your mind off of whats going on at the moment, this will help for a bit… Take a walk or listen to some music to help you out a little. but i would strongly sugguest that you get some medication b/c you could have an imbalence in your brain.. thats what i have which means that you are not getting enough edorfins to you brain. so talk to someone about getting something done. I hope this helped and i hope everything gets better for you!
