Cures For Panic Attacks

In the never ending search for cures for panic attacks we get lost in the quick fix approach to the search. Once you realize that in most every case there is no quick fix you have taken the first step to finding your cure.

There are essentially a couple ways that can help cure you or a loved on of panic attacks. The natural approach will consist of behavior therapy, and or natural supplements. The second approach will consist of medical treatments such as anti depressants and anti anxiety medications.  Drugs commonly used included Lexapro, Zoloft, Paxil, Prozac, Xanax, and Ativan to name a few.

It is of course always preferable to take the natural route if possible. Some of the natural cures for panic include CBT techniques, which in essence reshape your thought process, and rewire the way you respond to the trigger of your anxiety. This works well for many people and if you think about it, makes perfect sense. The triggers for panic and anxiety will never go away, and we have no control over these situations. What we do have control over however, are the processes that occur after these initial triggers, and how we respond to them. I really recommend the course that is located at the top of the page banner.

Many people also have good luck with relaxation techniques such as yoga, meditation, deep breathing, and muscle relaxing. Of course anyone who has a problem with panic and anxiety should participate in exercise, cut out all caffeine, and try to watch their diets. These are things that by themselves may help considerably, especially the caffeine. You are going to be anxious and nervous if you are downing a pot of coffee before going to work.

Finally some may require medication, and in almost every case you should see  your doctor for a physical just to rule out any possible physical problems that may be causing your problems. These are rare occasions, but you should practice caution. This would be a good time to talk with your doctor about your problem as well. Do not worry about being embarrassed or scared to talk to your physician. They literally deal with it daily and will not look down upon you in anyway. They get paid to help you solve your problems, and almost all of them like helping people. They can go over options with you about medications if you choose to go that route as well. I highly recommend trying the course on the banner above first, but do not be afraid to try medication if all else fails. Life is short and living in constant panic and anxiety is no way to live it.
